Our clients dressing room had turned into a dumping ground and she was buying new storage units to try and help. This made the room feel smaller and encouraged more clutter. We emptied all the storage and sorted the contents. We only put back what the client needed and managed to remove all the extra units. So now she has more space and the room can be used as dressing room as intended.
With wardrobes we always use the same process. Empty everything out, remove unwanted items, re-hang/fold everything and then put back in an order that suits the client. You could arrange by category, colour or as in this instance we arranged by season.
The client had an adjoining dressing room on her bedroom which had all become out of control. The client felt trapped under all the clutter which had built up for over a decade. We were able to work with her and help her understand and overcome her hoarding tendencies. We are so proud of the work she has done.
The pantry is one of those places that can get cluttered quickly with a lot of shelves and drawers. We emptied this client's pantry, removed anything out of date and decanted the products. This enabled us to plan the space. We decided that this storage would be better with just food items. It now makes sense and will be easier for the client to find things and keep it organised.
The client's photos were in all different places around the house. We gathered them up, sorted through which ones she wanted to keep, organised by category and now they fit into two boxes. This cost the client nothing as we used homemade dividers and boxes she already had.
This client's car boot was crammed with things. Her goal was to be able to use the convertible roof, which she currently couldn't as there was clutter blocking the mechanism. We emptied everything out, sorted through it all and only put back what she needed. The rest was sorted into the house/donated/thrown away.
